Garrett walked out of the bathroom like this earlier tonight.  Crazy kid.

Loose Tooth!

I noticed a strange gap in between Garrett's bottom teeth that was not there before.  When Carl pointed out that he's getting close to the age of losing his teeth, I thought there was no way that could be it.  But further inspection revealed Garrett does have a loose tooth.  I cried a little bit.  Just a little.  He's growing up. :(

Family Photo

This is my whole family on my mom's side.  I don't remember the last time we were all together - several years at least.  Most of my family is in Kentucky, but I do have one cousin in Florida and one in Las Vegas, and my uncle has been in the service in South Carolina the past few years.  So it was really nice being all together again.  The photos we tried to take with the timer to commemorate the occasion didn't turn out super well, but hey, at least we did get some before saying our goodbyes and heading for home.

Making Faces

We waited for the stupid Mirage volcano forever, and it ended up not even going off.  And it was freezing.  Luckily Garrett and Carl entertained me.  I love my silly boys.

Shark Reef

Of course we had to visit the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay while we were here.  I love the sharks.  They are awesome and a little bit creepy.

Bellagio Gardens

The Bellagio Gardens were beautifully decorated for the Chinese New Year. This is one of my favorite things to do in Las Vegas. Even Garrett loved it. There were some large goldfish in the pond, and he named one Oscar. He also took more pictures of me and Carl. He loves doing that. He got quite a few people stopping and smiling when he kneeled down to take our photo.

Arrival in Las Vegas

We made it to Las Vegas safely last night - at midnight, but at least we made it!  We are here for a week long trip and my parents and all my extended family in Kentucky are here too.  Bring on the fun!

Be Mine

Carl and I decided not to go out for Valentine's Day.  Sometimes it's just too much work.  So we stayed in and ordered Chinese food, had ice cream, and played with Garrett.  It was a pretty good Valentine's Day. :)
