So Handsome!

My boys looked so handsome getting ready to leave for church, I had to take a picture.  I love them!

Happy Christmas!

I love Garrett's over the top reactions to everything.  When he walked into my parents' front room this morning and saw his Lego set present from Santa, his jaw dropped, and he collasped on the floor in shock.  He's so funny.  Needless to say, he loved his Santa present.  He and his dad built it together while my mom and I made cinnamon rolls and we all waited for my dad to get hom from work.  Since my dad had to work today, we either had to get up at 5:30 to open presents or wait until noon until he was home from work.  We were going to try to wake up early, but instead slept until about 10:30.  It was very nice.

Garrett loved all of his presents.  He got a couple of Nerf guns, and he and Carl played Nerf wars for a long time.  Garrett set up little barriers so he wouldn't get shot.  He was pretty cute.

We've spent a really lazy day sitting around, playing, and watching "Despicable Me".  It's been so relaxing.

Merry Christmas!

It's almost Christmas!

We've had a very nice Christmas Eve.  We are sleeping over at my parents' house tonight, so we brought all of our presents over and put them under their tree.  Then we decorated the gingerbread house that we've been meaning to do all month.  After that we went to dinner and went to Christmas Street to look at all the lights and read the Christmas story.  We let Garrett open his Christmas Eve pajamas present, and then one small fun present.  Now we're off to bed so we can wake up early tomorrow!

The tree - finally

We FINALLY got our Christmas tree put up.  We have really been procrastinating this year.  Garrett was super excited to decorate it and did a great job putting the ornaments on.  He's such a cutie.

Christmas program

Garrett's school Christmas program was today.  The kids sang lots of song and Santa even came with a gift for each kid.  Garrett was too shy to sing but he sure looked adorable.

Temple Square

So our little annual excursion to see the lights at Temple Square didn't quite go as planned.  Garrett refused to wear his coat and had a huge fit whenever we tried to put it on him.  We got it on him for a while but it didn't last very long.  And we made the mistake of going on the busiest night of the week.  It was so crowded in some areas we could barely even get around.  And we had some dead cell batteries, so trying to keep track of my son, husband, mom, and dad and keep us all together was not very fun.  Garrett was pretty grumpy too and didn't really want to be there.  Next year I'm going to make sure we go earlier in the season, and make sure we've all had a little more sleep!

Mad Scientists

Garrett's friend Kyndall just turned 6.  She had a mad scientist birthday party.  They did awesome science experiments and played games.  The kids looked so adorable in their little lab coats.  Happy Birthday Kyndall!
