Christmas program

Garrett's school Christmas program was today.  The kids sang lots of song and Santa even came with a gift for each kid.  Garrett was too shy to sing but he sure looked adorable.

Temple Square

So our little annual excursion to see the lights at Temple Square didn't quite go as planned.  Garrett refused to wear his coat and had a huge fit whenever we tried to put it on him.  We got it on him for a while but it didn't last very long.  And we made the mistake of going on the busiest night of the week.  It was so crowded in some areas we could barely even get around.  And we had some dead cell batteries, so trying to keep track of my son, husband, mom, and dad and keep us all together was not very fun.  Garrett was pretty grumpy too and didn't really want to be there.  Next year I'm going to make sure we go earlier in the season, and make sure we've all had a little more sleep!

Christmas Photos

We did a little mini Christmas photo session with Brittney, the same photographer who did Garrett's Halloween pics.  I am loving her.

Mad Scientists

Garrett's friend Kyndall just turned 6.  She had a mad scientist birthday party.  They did awesome science experiments and played games.  The kids looked so adorable in their little lab coats.  Happy Birthday Kyndall!

Festival of Trees

We go to the Festival of Trees every year.  This year we went to the little kid section too, and Garrett loved the big bubble thing.  The trees didn't seem as fancy this year, or maybe I just couldn't see them as well because of all the people.  It's always so crowded there, and I think it's getting worse every year.  Oh well.  It's not like it will keep us from going.

Christmas Party

We had our annual family Christmas party today.  It's always the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and you'd think I'd be used to it, but it seems so early.  It's only November!  I guess I'm just not ready for Christmas this year.  But we had lots of fun.  Garrett even joined in some of the Christmas singing.  His new favorite song is "Silent Night", and so he joined right in when we sang it.  And I got a picture of my cute grandma on Santa's lap!

Thanksgiving

We had a pretty low-key, relaxing Thanksgiving.  We spent it at Carl's grandparents' house.  We hadn't seen Carl's extended family for a while, so that was nice, and their Thanksgiving dinner is the BEST!

Boondocks

The Utah Adoption Exchange had an outing at Boondocks today.  It was super discounted, and they served lunch.  It was nice to see so many other adoptive families.  We played mini golf, and Garrett insisted on going on the bumper boats even though it was cold.  It was pretty fun.
