Garrett's First Dentist Appointment

Garrett had his first ever visit to the dentist last Thursday.  We were a bit worried about how he would act at the dentist, especially since he's so shy.  We didn't need to worry, because he was an angel.

When we first walked in, he was a little bit scared, and went limp when we picked him up to put him in the chair.  But after a few minutes, and with hand holding and reassurances from Mom, he was just fine.  He let them clean his teeth and do xrays.  The hygenist Amy was wonderful with him and kept telling him he was doing such a good job.  The TV in the ceiling helped too.  Then the dentist came in and said his teeth looked great and that he didn't have any cavities.  He got to pick out a small toy and got a bracelet that says "The No Cavity Club".  Garrett was excited about his little bag they gave him with his own toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and timer for brushing his teeth.  The timer is his favorite part.

When we walked out to the car, he gave us a big smile and said "Mom, am I part of the no cavity club?"  When we told him yes, he got a huge grin on his face and gave us big hugs.  We are so proud of him for being such a good boy!
